1. SIID - Business R&D - Individual Operations - Other territories and Low Density
- Individual R&D operations are supported, carried out between companies and/or with non-business entities of the R&I System, aligned with the priority areas of the Research and Innovation Strategy for Intelligent Specialization.
- Minimum eligible investment: 150 thousand Euros.
- Beneficiaries: Micro, small and medium-sized companies (SMEs) and small-medium capitalization companies (Small Mid Cap).
- Maximum co-financing rate and nature of the incentive: 80%, 40% for projects in the Lisbon region. Non-refundable Incentive.
- Applications in phases until 12/30/2024.
2. SIID - Business R&D - Co-promotion Operations - Other territories and Low Density
- R&D operations are supported, in the form of co-promotion, carried out between companies and/or with non-business entities of the R&I System, aligned with the priority areas of the Research and Innovation Strategy for Intelligent Specialization.
- Minimum eligible investment: 150 thousand Euros.
- Beneficiaries: Micro, small and medium-sized companies (SMEs) and small-medium capitalization companies (Small Mid Cap). The beneficiaries, as co-promoters, are the non-business entities of the research and innovation system (ENESII), including those from the autonomous regions of the Azores and Madeira, in the case of operations financed by the Innovation and Digital Transition Program.
- Maximum co-financing rate and nature of the incentive: 80%, 40% for projects in the Lisbon region. Non-refundable Incentive.
- Applications in phases until 12/30/2024.
3. SIID - Business R&D – Individual operations or in Co-promotion - Contractual Investment Regime (RCI)
- Research and Development (R&D) operations are supported in individual or Co-promotion modalities, carried out by company(ies) and/or with non-business entities of the R&I System (ENESII), aligned with the priority areas of the Research and Innovation Strategy for Intelligent Specialization (RIS3), which comprise investments in industrial research and experimental development activities, which are of special interest to the national economy due to their structuring effect in improving the specialization profile of the Portuguese economy.
- Minimum eligible investment: 10 million Euros.
- Beneficiaries: Companies of any nature and under any legal form (including large companies). The beneficiaries, as co-promoters, are the non-business entities of the research and innovation system (ENESII), including those from the autonomous regions of the Azores and Madeira, in the case of operations financed by the Innovation and Digital Transition Program.
- Co-financing and nature of incentives: Support to be negotiated directly with the State. Non-refundable incentive, tax benefits and financial instruments.
- Continuous applications until 12/30/2024.
4. SIID - Internationalization of R&D - Industrial R&D operations on a European scale
- Individual or co-promoted operations that aim to promote national co-financing to Portuguese entities participating in European R&D projects, where co-financing is provided exclusively by national sources
- Beneficiaries: Companies of any nature and under any legal form (including large companies). The beneficiaries, as co-promoters, are the non-business entities of the research and innovation system (ENESII), including those from the autonomous regions of the Azores and Madeira, in the case of operations financed by the Innovation and Digital Transition Program.
- Maximum co-financing rate and nature of the incentive: 80%, 40% for projects in the Lisbon region. Non-refundable Incentive.
- Applications in phases until 09/30/2024.
